Children’s Discovery offers in-person and online training to equip facilitators with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide engaging and accessible STEM-based learning adventures.
Facilitate Little Bang Discovery Club
The Little Bang Discovery Club is designed to harness the natural curiosity of children as they playfully explore the world around them, asking questions and seeking answers by sorting, comparing, measuring and testing (experimenting) – the foundations of science.
Little Bang is also for adults with parents, carers and educators exploring science alongside their children, being ‘guides on the side’ and encouraging genuine scientific thinking and behaviour while referencing and adapting concepts to everyday experiences and cultural practice.
Our full-day training program is designed to equip facilitators with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide engaging and accessible STEM-based learning adventures for children and their accompanying adults throughout the Little Bang journey and beyond.

How it works
- Our facilitator, Wendy, provides a fun, detailed hands-on run-through of each Little Bang activity.
- Participants have ample time to try everything and ask as many questions as possible.
- A ‘live audience’ demonstration is usually provided during the training session along with morning tea and lunch breaks.
- Participants are provided with:
- A hard copy Training Manual with workshop plans.
- The Little Bang Book of Discovery written to accompany the program.
- Partner login to Children’s Discovery website to access digital resources.
