Australian Space Agency Fund J.U.M.P. Program Boxes

junior universe mechatronic pilot jump boxes

To support Australian STEM engagement, the Australian Space Agency has sponsored 450 Junior Universe Mechatronic Pilot (J.U.M.P.) boxes which have been donated to libraries and science education centres across Australia. These have been modelled on our loanable Spark! Technology Boxes and can be used flexibly either in the loan collection, as part of a makerspace, or in STEM programs.

The J.U.M.P. box celebrates Australia’s involvement in NASA’s Artemis program which is exploring the moon and developing ways to live and work on other worlds in preparation for future missions to Mars. The guidebook invites users to complete a series of missions using the Roo-ver Jr. which progresses through the science and technology underpinning sending a rover to the moon.
