Children's
Discovery Museum Ltd is a
not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to create a new interactive
learning centre for children in Sydney. We stage activities, often in
partnership with other organisations, at special events throughout
Sydney and further afield. These unique learning experiences
demonstrate our style for the Children's Discovery Museum.
Since
2001 over 20,000 people from all over
Australia and beyond have experienced our immersion
experiences, science & technology workshops, hands-on

Discovery @ THE ROCKS |
|
Join the crew of
HMS Discovery for a journey of adventure and discovery! Help prepare to
set sail from Plymouth, England in 1792. Decide what stores to load for
the journey and what to take to resupply the struggling colony in
Sydney Cove, Australia. It is four years after the first fleet arrived
in Sydney and the new colony’s crops are failing so they need
supplies from England. While on board learn about the challenges of
life at sea, early navigation and natural history.

TOUR OF THE TUMMY
AT AUSTRALIAN SCIENCE FESTIVAL AUG 05
|
|
Premiering at the
Australian Science Festival, Canberra
(17-21 Aug) was the newest and most adventuress interactive experience
from the Children's Discovery team. A giant tummy complete with genuine
sound effects, entry through the giant mouth and exit 'through the
rear' delighted capacity crowds.
Our fantastic
staff, Stephanie, Nic and Fiona staged 17
twenty-minute shows everyday to over 2000 eager participants of all
sizes and shapes - everyone becoming a 'food item' ready for digestion.
The dark interior of the tummy was perfect for our chat on healthy diet
and why we need exercise to feel good and stay well. The tummy is ready
and waiting to tour again....
